On a recent return trip to the South Island I called in on a mate in Hawkes Bay. Tony lives a few houses from the beach at Te Awanga. After a great dinner and some craft beer I enjoyed the sunset, the dusk and the sunrise at the lagoon and shoreline.
It was perfectly clear and the slow shutter speed yielded some pretty dreamy, silky water under a beautifully hued sky.
I love shooting at a pin-hole aperture with my 14-24mm lens for those star-bursting city lights and the long detail filled depth of field.
I’ll never tire of 30 sec exposures at the beach!
